What is THE SOLO PROJECT?
THE SOLO PROJECT was built out of love for my baby boy, Solo. He came into our family when we were very young and he truly helped shape my husband and myself into who we are today. Check out Solo’s full story here.
THE PROJECT: Both of our dogs have an active presence on Instagram (unashamed Dog Mom here), and it would be untruthful to say I don’t grow attached to the familiar faces in our feed. As Solo edges closer to his 7th birthday, I have begun noticing several of the dog families we have followed since we brought Solo home have began losing their pack members.
While there are certainly downsides to social media, a community is truly created. Over the past 7 years, our family has come to love so many of the dogs we follow and their families. Each time one is hurt, ill, or crosses the Rainbow Bridge, our family feels their pain. After spending years photographing weddings, I decided it was time to capture memories of something close to my heart - the bond between a dog (or several!) and their family.
As a part of THE SOLO PROJECT, your furbaby’s story will be featured on the blog and social media so the world can get to know your amazing family. I’ll travel to you and we will have a photo session with your best friend in their natural environment, after which your family will receive a beautiful online, shareable gallery with high-resolution hand-edited images to treasure forever. You will also receive a USB with all images and an professional 8x10 print of your choice.

Do you want to be a part of THE SOLO PROJECT?? Awesome! Here are some FAQs that can help you get started:

Absolutely not!! While I have seen firsthand the beauty of having Giants be part of the family, I want to capture ALL breeds and show off their bond with you and their story.

I do not charge those who want to share their story - even travel fees. This project is one that is close to my heart and once I begin charging for this experience, it will quickly become work. Given that this is based around my baby boy, I never want this to become work. There is no cost to be a part of The Solo Project.
IF you feel inclined, I would highly recommend donating to a charity like Valley of the Sun Giant Schnauzer Rescue or HTZ - Giant Schnauzer Rescue. Both of these organizations do wonderful work for this breed and educating those on the amazing companions this breed can be.

I will travel to you! I want to capture your family in their normal environment to ensure the most authenticity in your story.

In order to be included in the project, I will require a couple items:
a short (or long - totally up to you!) write-up of your pup’s story and how they came to be a part of your family and the impact they’ve had on you
a signed model release in order to be featured on the website, social media, etc.

Due to the potential travel involved, I would like to make sure your session is on my calendar as soon as possible. But of course, this will vary by session.

Yes! After the session, you will receive:
a beautiful online, shareable gallery with high-resolution hand-edited images
a crystal USB with all your images
a professional 8x10 print of your choice
Your story will also be featured on our blog and on our social media.

100% yes! Just know that international sessions may take a little longer to get on the schedule.
